Webinar "Ethics, deontology and communication: a new curriculum for students that learning on the physical therapy master's program", November, 1, 2022

November 1st, 2022, as part of the implementation of the EU Erasmus+ program project "Innovative rehabilitation education – introduction of new master's degree programs in Ukraine" (REHAB), a webinar was held by the head of the department of physical therapy and occupational therapy of NUUPES, prof. O.B. Lazarieva on the topic: "Ethics, deontology and communication: a new curriculum for students studying in the master's program in physical therapy." During the webinar discussed, the issues of compliance of Ukrainian education standards with international ones, the main values ​​of the profession according to the code of ethics, the key roles and competences of physical therapists and the peculiarities of the educational program on ethics, deontology and communication.

 

 

Administrative meeting of REHAB project partners, November, 17, 2021

On November 17th, 2021, an administration meeting (online) of European and Ukrainian partners of the EU Erasmus + project "Innovative Rehabilitation Education - Introduction of New Master's Programs in Ukraine (REHAB)" took place.

The Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy of NUUPES attended the meeting by Lazareva O.B., Bannikova O.V., Kormiltsev V.V., and Deputy Chief Accountant Shcherbakova L.P.

The meeting agenda will be:

  1. Preparing for the project final reports.
  2. Financial reports (Financial statements).
  3. REHAB online resources - Moodle user guide.
  4. Preparing project final conference in March 2022.
  5. Other issues.

 

 

Autumn school of physical therapy

      Within the framework of the European Union Erasmus + Program "Innovative Rehabilitation Education - Introduction of new master degree programs in Ukraine 2018-2021" REHAB, September 14-18, 2020 Ternopil National Medical University named after I. Gorbachevsky organized and conducted Autumn schools of physical therapy. Their program includes distance lectures and master classes by leading European physical therapy specialists from the Latvian Academy of Sports Education (Riga, Latvia), the European Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (EUFAPA), the University of Applied Sciences (Pori, Finland), the Josef Pilsudski Academy of Physical Education. (Warsaw, Poland), Lithuanian University of Sports (Kaunas, Lithuania), National University of Physical Education and Sports (Kyiv, Ukraine), Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after Bobersky (Lviv, Ukraine).

     21 scientific and pedagogical workers from the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy of NUUPES took part in the work of autumn schools. In particular:

     Associate Professor Romanishin M.Y. presented a report on the topic: "Evaluation of the internal validity of the study using the PEDro scale";

     Lecturer Zgursky A.A. presented a report on the topic: "Algorithm for the diagnosis of hip and knee joints osteoarthritis in physical therapy".

     Thanks to interesting, relevant, and meaningful information, the professional community of Ukrainian physical therapists has received modern knowledge and skills that will allow us to raise the rehabilitation service to a qualitatively new level.

Contest's results between master's degree students of the 1st year educaion for the Erasmus+ academic mobility program

     February, 20th, 2020 under the “Innovative Rehabilitation Education – Introduction of new master degree in Ukraine” project of the EU Erasmus+ program was performed the contest between the master’s degree students of the 1st year education, for the participation in the student's academic mobility program this May, 11-16 in the Pori, Finland.

     The competition included admission, document review and interview by the contest commission with participants. The commission includes prof. O.B. Lazarieva, ass. professor O.V. Bismak, ass. professor S.V. Havreliuk, ass. professor R.O. Bannikova, ass. professor V.V. Kormiltsev, sen. lecturer V.V. Brushko. During the interview, the commission evaluated followed positions:

1. Rating of the participant

2. Level of English proficiency

3. Availability of publications by the specialty

4. The presence of a letter of recommendation

5. Interview in English

6. Formulation of the purpose of participation in the Erasmus + academic student mobility program

7. Formulation of tasks for participation in the Erasmus + academic mobility program

8. Expected results from participation in the Erasmus + academic mobility program

9. Implementation of the results of participation in the Erasmus + academic mobility program

10. Communication skills, presentation, and creativity

11. Extra points for assistance in preparing for the REHAB Winter School of Physical Therapy

     The contest identified the top five students who will participate in the Academic Mobility Program May 11-16 in Pori, Finland.
